The Power of Asking for Guidance from Your Intuition

Written by Announcement Author on Wednesday, March 4th, 2009 in Religion and Spirituality.

When are we most receptive to advice and guidance? When we ask for it, of course. Specifically, when we humbly ask for it and truly desire it. Asking for guidance from your intuitive self works the same way. You must signal your intention to accept guidance and open the door to receive guidance.

Whenever you humbly and sincerely ask for guidance, you are asserting your desire for help and insight, along with your complete intention to accept it. Asking for the specific kind of help you desire focuses things, making a clear answer easier to receive and heightens your sensitivity to the answer in whatever form it may take, whether direct or symbolic messages sent to your consciousness, or hints, whispers, and metaphoric messages in your outer world.

You are likely already asking questions internally in your day-to-day life, though probably not in the conscious, directed fashion that brings answers. Do half-conscious questions and requests like these run through your mind, “I wish I knew just what to do here”, or “Is this job really right for me?”, “I really need some help with this!”, and so on. If so, whether you realize it or not, you are seeking for guidance from your intuitive self and perhaps receiving answers, yet are not really in the proper frame of mind to receive them, making you numb and blind to the Replies you do receive.

Learning appropriate practices and settings with which to apply your questions and receive responses can affect your results in a direct and profound way. Likewise, learning the best nature and form for your questions and queries is key, and refining such will optimize your intuitive potential. The more conscious you are of the nature and form of the questions you ask, the more you invite greater focus and clarity, both in terms of your current existence, and to your openness to accept the guidance you invoke when you ask them.

The Intuition Zone program provides deep insight into the types of questions to ask when you seek this kind of inspired guidance, with specific guidelines, including frames of reference, settings for Yes-No questions, open ended questions that evoke broader answers, what to avoid, and more, with specific examples. The Path of Nichiren Buddhism

Written by Announcement Author on Thursday, January 29th, 2009 in Religion and Spirituality.

Nichiren Buddhism

Buddhism, to those not familiar with its tenants, can seem quite confusing. There are many different steps and prayers that are used throughout the different branches of Buddhism. All of the branches do have the Buddha in common but it is his mantras, or teachings, that differ. The Tibetan Buddhist follows a different set of teachings than those found in Nichiren Buddhism. Buddha taught that there was a path to enlightenment. The Buddhism Nichiren taught is still based on that mantra but the journey is slightly different.

Just as there are different variations of the same religion found in the United States, i.e. the Baptist faith versus the First Baptist etc., there are different branches of Buddhism. What the Zen Buddhist studies differs from what the Tibetan Buddhist studies. The Buddhism Nichiren taught was based on a different set of mantras handed down from Buddha in his later years. These teachings were known as the Lotus Sutra. These Buddhist teachings allow for people to find their own way to enlightenment through following his studies but Nichiren felt differently about the other branches of Buddhism. He thought that they had become splintered and fractured due to not following the correct path to enlightenment.

Nichiren Daishonen was a 13th century Buddhist monk. He believed that it was Buddha’s later mantras, the Lotus Sutra, that would lead to true enlightenment and universal knowledge. He was unhappy with the direction that many of the Buddhist leaders were leading their students and so began a movement to follow the path that he considered the true path to enlightenment. Nichiren Buddhism came to be a leading Buddhist movement thanks to Nichiren’s observations of Buddha’s Lotus Sutra.

Nichiren believed that the Buddhist teachings of others were wrong. It was not about just abdicating earthly possessions. It was about reaching out to your fellow man to overcome trials and adversity together. His Buddhist studies allowed him to show that everyone, regardless of age, gender or status, could reach enlightenment. This opened up Buddhism to many new people and showed them that there was a possibility of overcoming problems to attain peace.

You have to decide for yourself whether or not Nichiren Buddhism is right for you. All of the Buddhist studies are open to different interpretations. That is why there are so many different forms of Buddhism. You can always count on the fact that all of the different branches still honor Buddha and believe that the way to end human suffering is through enlightenment. You just have to decide which philosophy you believe in.
