Besides being a good communication tool, blogging is also a great way to make money. If you’re new to blogging and yet want to start quickly, there are several business models you can try for maximum results in a short time. This article discussed the three most popular methods.

The first method is paid blog posting. Create your first blog and start adding some decent article to it. Then you signup with paid blogging networks like Pay Per Post or Review Me and see what “opportunities” are available. These networks are filled with advertisers looking for blogger who can help them spread the word, and they are willing to pay. Accept the opportunity, write about it on your blog, and you get paid.

The second method is WordPress and AdSense and it requires a little more technical know-how. You need to build a WordPress blog on a specific niche topic, and start writing some good content on it. Then, find relevant blogs and leave comments on those blogs to get links back to your own blog. The objective is to get more traffic who will click on your AdSense ads and make you money.

The third and most sophisticated method is affiliate marketing with WordPress blogs. Again, you set-up a good WordPress blog but with this model the amount of content you publish is not as important as the “selling quality” of the content. Each post you write must pre-sell the web visitor and convince him to click on your affiliate links. When the visitor makes a purchase online after that, you get credited for the sale and earn commissions.

Ultimately, which model you choose depends on how much time and resources you can dedicate to creating and managing your blogs. If you’re new, you should choose a low-investment model and compensate by spendingmore time on it. When you get the hang of it, you can venture into other blogging models as well.

3 Important Tips To SEO Your Blog

Written by Announcement Author on Monday, September 21st, 2009 in Blogs and Blogging.

For many bloggers, they fail to realize how important search engine traffic can be because they have been told it’s more important to get Social traffic rather than Search Engine traffic. This is one of the many reasons bloggers fail to make extra money with their blog.

If they understood how easy it was to SEO optimize their blog post, they just might get the free organic traffic they need to be successful. It can be done in 3 easy steps. These three steps can increase traffic which may be the difference in a blog that makes the owner very little income or one that a blogger can quit their day job and make a full time living with.

Follow this advice to search engine optimize every article you write and start taking advantage of free search engine traffic.

To start with, you should make absolutely sure that your article addresses are optimized for the search engines. With many free blog services like Blogger, this is automatically done for you. If you’re a WordPress user, then change your permalinks so that blog creates SEO optimized url’s when you post an article.

All you have to do in WordPress is to click on the Permalinks tab, and click the radio button along side the Custom field. Then you’ll put a percentage sign followed by the words Postname. {Immediately after the words postname, Now} put another percent symbol. This makes sure your blog will have SEO friendly addresses.

The next tip on optimizing your blog is to put your main keywords in the Title. This is very important. For example, if you’re blogging about how to make fast money, then you’ll want these keywords in your Blog’s title. Don’t put something like Johns Blog. Using the keywords in the Title, then you’ll rank higher than if you name your blog something that does not relate to your main keyword.

The next important step is to write your keywords in the Post’s title. If you’re trying to get blog readers to click on your post about online auctions to to make a living online, then your post title should have those keywords in it. Not irrelevant keywords like How I Make Money With Auctions. If you do this, the search engines will have trouble determining what your post is about and you won’t attract the right kind of traffic. If you’re using Adsense to monetize your blog, this is a very important tip to get targeted traffic for high paying keywords.

These 3 tips will be helping the Search Engines know what your post is about. When you make it easy for the search engines to understand what your post and blog are about, they’ll rank your blog higher than a non-optimized blog.

Building links to each of your optimized post is the last step in dominating the search engine rankings with your blog post. Ahh, but link building is a whole nother article that has to be saved for later. First, get acquainted optimizing your own blog and blog post.

Journalspace Users Down and Out

Written by Announcement Author on Saturday, June 13th, 2009 in Blogs and Blogging.

Journalspace.com has fallen and can’t get up. Their site states that their entire database was completely overwritten by a software issue or a malicious act. It doesn’t matter how they lost the data, what matters is that they thought RAID was as good as having backup and are now out of business for their failure to backup.

And their users are the ones who have lost all their hard work. They thought that Journalspace wouldn’t go down and now it has. How many Journalspace accounts had a backup of their own? How many can recover? Because of the lack of a good backup thousands of blogs are now completely gone. How do you keep your data protected from an event like this? Do you have a good copy? Are your online sites at risk? You know it is. Journalspace wasn’t a little fly-by-night provide and they failed. You need to make sure that if something bad happens that your online blog survives.

It’s as simple as this. Get your files backed up. Get your blogs backed up. Backup your web server data. Back up your PC’s. Just take the time to do it right and right now. And don’t trust CD’s, Tape, USB, or removable drives. They all use recordable media which isn’t permenant, or well protected in your own hands. You need to use an online backup with a provider that specializes in storing data. The minimum features you should require is the capacity to do incremental backups. That it be an offsite backup for safety. That your system shows an attached network drive that’s really your backup volume. And that you can backup your servers, workstations, blogs, websites, etc. with a single account.

Compare some internet backup services right now. Find the services with these features and get backed up now. Get it over with. don’t be like those that can’t recover because their provider lost their data. Protect your data and make certain that you don’t suffer the fate that Journalspace users are suffering through right now.
